Alan Bullock
Chair
Alan Bullock is the Founder and CEO of Insafe International Ltd, the UK’s leading and biggest independent safe company. Alan’s experience within the security industry spans over 40 years.
Before setting up Insafe in 1986, Alan spent eight years at Chubb & Sons Lock and Safe Company Ltd as a business trainee, then salesman. Insafe acquired Loksafe in 2001, Guardian Safes in 2003, GB Safes in 2013 and in 2018 Insafe became Chubbsafes Sole UK Distributor. Alan remains Chief Executive of Insafe today and was elected chair of BSVTA in 2017.

Adam Greenaway
Vice Chair
Adam Greenaway is Group Director of Burton Safes Limited and the Safe & Vault Company Limited.
The Founder of the Safe & Vault Company, a multiple award-winning engineering company based in Leeds, the leading designer and manufacturer of security products use by the ATM and Banking industry world-wide.
With a career spanning 35 years in mechanical engineering, production and purchasing, Adam has worked for F1 team Jordan grand Prix, as security investigator and product development for Cardpoint, Cashzone ATM’s, managed security manufacturers, founded Safe and Vault in 2014 and merged with Burton Safes in 2019 to form the new group.
Adam was elected and has served on the BSVTA committee (a member of Eurosafe) since 2015.

Richard Matthews
Secretary
Richard Matthews MSyI commenced his career in the safe industry in 1980. He cut his teeth working for the Telford manufacturer SLS (Security Lock and Safe) moving on to Independent safes and then to co-founded Insafe in 1986, starting off in small garret in Warren St W1. In 2009 he formed Robur Safe UK Ltd, a daughter company of the Swedish manufacturer. Recently, having headed up sales for TSI Ltd. he accepted an appointment as Head of Direct Safes for Phoenix Safes. He continues as Secretary of BSVTA. Richard lives in Kent with his wife and son.

Tom Rochford
Permanent Secretary
Tom retired in 2017 after 36 years experience in the safe and vault industry with Chubb and Gunnebo. Working mainly in sales and service Tom was heavily involved with a major client and the Home Office Drugs Inspectorate in the late 90’s in upgrading the specification for controlled drug storage facilities. Following these discussions EN1143-1 graded vaults(normally Grade VI) were introduced as the norm for drug storage vaults/safes in the UK.

Matt Dumsday
Treasurer
Matthew Dumsday is the Sales Director at Insafe International Ltd. Matthew has enjoyed a successful career spanning over 25 years in the security products industry. His previous roles include General Manager of Chubb Locks and 10 years working specifically in the safe industry. Matthew is passionate about supporting locksmiths and other trade customers to sell quality safes to both the residential and commercial markets. Matthew lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and two children.

Chris Goldfinch
Committee Member
Chris Goldfinch has 33 years of experience in the safe industry working in overlapping fields, starting as a safe engineer, safe sales, project manager, vault designer and installer. He has 25 years’ experience importing and exporting new and reconditioned security products. He is a consultant to the insurance industry and a designer of bespoke products supplied to government departments.

Alan Lee
Committee Member
Alan Lee began his career as a locksmith in1985 and has over 30 years trade experience. Initially employed by Simonds Key Services as a bench locksmith he gained hands on knowledge of safes and locking mechanisms.
He moved on to manage Knight Security in NW London and has been a member of the Master Locksmiths Association for over 25 years. Now employed by Phoenix Safe Co, he is passionate about quality within the safe industry.

Charles Holmes
UK Producer's Representative
Charles has been part of the industry for around 20 years, having worked for Insafe, EPS, Gunnebo and currently Associated Security as Sales Director. He is Executive Director for SMP Security and Commercial Director of the Safe Deposit Centre in Manchester where he advises on standards from within the Safe Deposit Owners Committee, established after the raid on London’s Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Centre. Charles also serves as Vice-President of Eurosafe.
